Russian surgical robot performs test surgery on swine in Penza
Chief Urologist of the Russian Healthcare Ministry Dmitry Pushkar used a unique Russian surgical robot to perform the first robot-assisted animal surgery. The aim was to remove uterine fibroids from the body of swine Roza.
Images were obtained from a microcamera during an operation to remove uterine fibroids. This was the first animal surgery assisted by their robot.
