Arguably, there is a long way to go to create the ecosystem of robotic surgery. Engineering a system is only the first milestone. Nevertheless, there is a continuous growth on the field: 

Robot-assisted procedures accounted for 15.1% of all general surgeries in 2018, up from just 1.8% in 2012, according to a study published Friday in JAMA Network Open.
