IEEE INES Special Session CfP

While it is not entirely CIS related, our new flagship project, ROBUTCHER is organizing a special session at the upcoming IEEE INES conference, to be taken place in Reykjavik:

IEEE INES 2020 Special Session on
FOOD AND AGRICULTURAL ROBOTICS
Reykjavík, Iceland   July 8-10, 2020
  • Full paper submission: March 30, 2020
  • Notification deadline: May 4, 2020
  • Final paper submission: June 1, 2020
Introduction
Application of different machines in the agriculture sector has always been fundamental. The spread of robotics in the food-industry became necessary to keep up with the challenges and demands of the 21th century. The goal of this session is to present the latest trends and developments related to food and agricultural robotics, and to define the roadmap for future enhancements to these fields.

Special Session Indicative Topics/Areas
Original research articles and reviews are sought in the overall topical area of food and agricultural robotics, including but not limited to:
·         Robotics in precision farming
·         Smart agriculture with automation
·         Mechatronics for harvesting
·         Drones for agriculture
·         Meat sector automation solutions
·         Poultry production and automation
·         Robotics for food processing
·         Smart logistics, scheduling and planning
·         Human-robot collaboration
·         Safe human-robot interaction

Submissions
All submissions should comply with the formatting requirements of IEEE (4-6 pages):
All papers go through the complete peer review procedure. Submission is possible via the INES website: http://www.ines-conf.org/ines-conf/2020paper.html

Conference proceedings that meet IEEE quality review standards may be eligible for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore), if the paper is not presented at the conference. 'Pay to publish' is not allowed by IEEE. So at least one author of a paper must show up and present the paper at the conference.
