Number of the day - 100th procedure
"The working group at Semmelweis University, the Department of Surgery, Transplantation and Gastroenterology has successfully performed the 💯th robotic liver surgery! 👏🎉 With the 100th robot-assisted liver resection, the liver surgery working group has not only reached a professional milestone in just over two years but also attained a remarkable achievement on an international level. Robot-assisted surgery allows for even more precise and less invasive procedures that provide patients with faster recovery times, fewer complications, and more effective outcomes. Successful surgeries have been achieved thanks to the coordinated work of the renowned specialists of the liver surgery team – Dr. Oszkár Hahn, Prof. Dr. Attila Szijártó, Dr. Bálint Kokas, Dr. Damján Pekli, Dr. Dávid Bárdos, and Dr. Zoltán Deák Ilkó – as well as the support of our anesthesiologists and allied health professionals working in the operating room. This achievement opens up new perspectives for the liver surgery working group and offers further opportunities for improvement in robot-assisted surgery. The working group aims to apply the most recent innovations in surgical technology in the coming years to ensure the best possible care for patients."
