Business news: Intuitive acquired Schölly

"Intuitive  bought Denzlingen-based Schölly Fiberoptic’s robotic endoscope business for an undisclosed sum.

The transaction includes Schölly's manufacturing sites in Denzlingen and Biebertal and its repair facility in Worcester, MA. It will also integrate ~200 employees across the three locations over the next 18 months.

Schölly has been working with Intuitive for over 20 years, designing and manufacturing several generations of imaging systems for its da Vinci line."
