The first LapChole procedure performed in Hungary
"The first robot-assisted gallbladder surgery was performed in Hungary at Semmelweis University, reported. The intervention using a Da Vinci Xi robot, took place on May 24, and the patient, a 68-year-old woman, was allowed to leave the clinic the second day after surgery. According to the university, the advantage of robotic-assisted surgical systems is that the procedures can be performed more safely and precisely, and patients recover faster, so they have to be hospitalized in a shorter time."
