"The 100th robotic surgery at Semmelweis University (Budapest, Hungary) was successful. An elderly male patient underwent a right colon resection for advanced cancer. Thanks to the robotic technique, the tumour could be removed through a small incision, further reducing the strenuousness caused by the surgery. The patient has now left the hospital and is recovering at home with his loved ones. Together with the first robotic surgery performed in May, this was the 51st surgical operation. During the past six months, 17 urological and 32 gynaecological surgical interventions were carried out with the Da Vinci Xi instrument by console surgeons of Semmelweis University's Robotic Surgery Program."
