Number of the day - 1000th procedure

 

"The patient who underwent the 1000th robot-assisted surgery at Semmelweis University on February 10 is now recovering at home following a successful onco-gynecological intervention. More than 4,000 robotic surgeries have been performed in Hungary so far. The first operation of this kind, a gall bladder removal, was performed on May 24, 2022, also at Semmelweis University, where the da Vinci Xi Surgical System is planned to become a key tool for live donor kidney transplants."
