SAGES Robotic Surgery Research Grant
SAGES is now accepting Robotic Surgery Research Grant Applications
"With
the generous support of Intuitive Surgical Inc., SAGES is now accepting
Robotic General (Excluding Colorectal) Surgery Research Grant
Applications. Up to five $50,000 grants will be awarded. Please visit http://www.sages.org/projects/research-grants/ to review the submission guidelines and to submit your grant.
The deadline is Sunday July 31, 2016 at 5:00pm EST
The
SAGES Robotic Surgery Research Awards are open to any principal
investigator who is a current SAGES member, including Candidate members.
Awards are conferred on a competitive basis by submission of a grant
application, which is reviewed and evaluated by the SAGES Research
Committee and approved by the Governing Board.
The
purpose of these grants is to stimulate original research in robotic
surgery. The study may be either "bench" research or clinical. SAGES is
interested in reviewing grants focusing on the use of robotic surgery
for procedures other than colorectal surgical procedures; there is a
concurrent The Research Foundation of the ASCRS Robotic Surgery Research
Grant competition specifically focused on robotic colorectal surgery.
Grants focused on curricula for robotic training or other educational
topics will not be prioritized in this competition.
Grants
are limited to no more than $50,000 each, for a period of one year, and
are made to the principal investigator. The purpose of these grants is
to stimulate original research in robotic surgery. The study may be
either "bench" research or clinical."
